Vanilla Ink
As a member of Vanilla Ink Studios I have my own profile that you can view here.
It is a great platform to show off your work and meet other like-minded jewellery designers. It's always beneficial to have somewhere go to network with people who share your discipline as you can get word of new opportunities and events, etc.
Above is a picture of my "featured contributor" post on the Vanilla Ink Blog. Click here to read the full artice!
I would definitely recommend to any practising jewellery designer to join to community. xx

Collab Shoot with Sarah Hutton of SH(e)...
A couple of weeks ago, Sarah Hutton and myself took part in a collaborative photoshoot which featured my chainmail and feather jewellery with her amazing knitted snoods.
Here are some sneaky peaks at the images...
The models, Collete Dryburgh and Erin Schepers were amazing and done exactly what we needed them to!
Final pictures to follow soon, once editing is complete!

New Niobium
When I was in London at New Designers, I met Justine Lee, another maker who uses chainmail in her designs. Unfortunately I never managed to get a picture of her chainmail body piece, which was outstanding, but here is the image from her business card :
Her work really is amazing, it's a shame she doesn't have a website.
Anyway, on the last day of New Designers, she gave me a gift of some leftover niobium jump rings :

Niobium can be anodised in an amazing range colours and it's also hypoallergenic, so it's a great material to make jewellery from. I decided to have a go at trying out mixing some colours together, I love the black & gold ones. I'm not too keen on the blue, silver & purple ones, but most people seemed to really like them.
Hopefully some more niobium jewellery coming soon!
K xx
